What will my classroom look like in 5 years?

Because of the many features that many programs have (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Gradebook, etc) my classroom will be organized. Having this programs allows work to be done neatly and professionally. Furthermore I imagine my communication with the students and teachers will be a lot stronger due to resources such as family integration emails, wiki spaces, student blogging, and community calendars. Technology will hopefully keep both my student and I organized! Technology will be more comfortable and easier to incorporate into my classroom on a day to day basis.



What technologies will my students and I be using?

Document cam, SMARTboards, individual remotes, google docs, blogspot, etc. I am sure there are plenty of other helpful websites that my students will be using in 5 years as well as equipment. These are just the main ones.



Will my role change?

I think my role will get easier. Like I said earlier, communication will be a lot easier. Plus students will probably have more of a motivation to use technology than me! My role will mostly be the same, however the means of connection and communication will be different. By then hopefully I will have a better grasp on technology, however I will always need to keep up on the "new stuff".
